Cork Thai Fight Night 8th November.

A very good night of Muaythai action was had and some very impressive preformance by some of the lads from cork thai.I was glad to be able to help out with them in the dressing rooms and got the best seat for some of the fights (right in the corner of the ring) Even though i was a bit freaked over the fact that some of the lads lost and i thought that they could of been better on the night but i suppose everybody has an off day and theres really no point of moaning about it.Great over all show and some well evenly match fights and well done to all the clubs and trainers that were with there fighters.

Fionn vs woijech - very good fight for first timers....not scrappy and both lads thinking well. fionn was the stronger overall and won very well.

Alex vs william gardiner, alex was very controlled using his hands well to control williams punches and firing back with very strong kicks...very good first fight - win alex

Johnathon vs paul norton , very good display from paul, very strong and dictated the pace of the fight, didnt let johnathon get anythin off. hurt johns leg in the first and john was really wrecked after that - win paul

Shane o neill vs portugese, well what can be said about the +? yr old dynamo - will fight anyone and shows great heart. well done shane , you never let up. gave his guy two counts. win shane

Dylan vs english , dylan done really well holding on in the clinch and stopped his guy in the first with very very strong knees. great win for dylans first fight.

Kieran o brien had a great fight against the portugese using the clinch very well. how his guy took so many knees to the face ? kieran stopped him fourth round..great fight.

Andy gray vs dave thorncroft. both started out strong evenly matched. andy took a head kick in the second and got a 8 count. to be honest he was out of it...carried on through all the rounds and dug deep , scoring very well with body kicks. win andy gray - well done andy, you said you wanted a hard fight......he was still out of it in between every round but showed great heart to win.

Chris o rourke vs portugese, didnt see too much of this fight?. the portugese looked very awkward but saw chris turning him lots and kneeing very well...win chris - well done...was a tough fight id say.

Conor o reagan vs portugese - another awkward fighter but conor had no problems really. He nearly took the guys head off at one stage, didnt know how he got up from it..I think conor gave him 4 counts before the stoppage....was wondering what he would have to do to stop him.....again conor showed great power and skill.

Steve vs jono, well done to jonno, shows why he is now irish champion, very sharp and controlled the fight. nasty cut to steves head. taking nothing away froim jonno the real steve o connell didnt turn up last night...but you deserved it jonno ...enjoy...
